Manitowoc County EMS Association Meeting Minutes                                  11/24/2021

Host:  Mishicot Area Ambulance via virtual link

The November 24, 2021, meeting of the Manitowoc County EMS Association was called to order at 1900 by the president.

Theresa explained that the meeting was being held virtually to meet the requirements of the bylaws regarding elections. At the last meeting, it was decided not to have a November meeting, but this is when elections are to be held.  The purpose of this meeting was to officially make a motion to have the elections at the January meeting with nominations open until that night. The two positions open for elections are vice president and treasurer according to our bylaws. It should be noted that at the beginning of 2021 Kyle Newberg, (then president) resigned and Theresa Becker ran the meetings in his place. Now she will become the president.

Newton made a motion to move the elections to January and keep nominations for vice-president and treasurer open until that meeting night. A second came from Two Creeks. Nominations can be sent to the Manitowoc County EMS website or email address. Please ask people if they will accept the position before submitting their name.

Mishicot made a motion for Alyssa Johanek to be the nominated for treasurer with a second by Branch. Alyssa accepted the nomination. Nominations will remain open.

Theresa also mentioned items which are current on our agenda including increasing attendance at the meetings and suggestions people had. We will keep the virtual option for the January meeting and encourage suggestions for attendance improvement to be submitted to board members or the website.
