Old Business:

1.       Contact numbers:  Passed for updates.

2.       Committee reports:

a.       Radio:  All members are encouraged to use channel 2 as much as possible.  Reminder that we are trialing IFERN for MABAS calls when a box alarm is called.  The only thing on county fire that should be said is that we are enroute or on scene.  There are some new pagers & portables coming that scan IFERN.  Repeated note as it is important.

b.       Medical Directors:   None presented.  Reminder from last meeting get your renewals in.

c.       Protocols:  Looking at formats and evidence based protocols.

d.       Finance:    Working on 501 C status.  Some discussion on why to actually have that status.  Discussion to drop this action.

e.       Disaster:   Mishicot has volunteered for a 2018 disaster drill with some type of active shooter or larger format.

f.         Education and training:   Reminded of resources as needed for agencies.

g.       LTC:  2018 schedule is out and was emailed to everyone.  There is an EMR to EMT bridge class out this year.

h.       Dispatch:  The new CAD system went into effect and has issues.  Be patient.  We will get the dispatchers baskets for Communicator’s week.

i.         Website:  Mark Knier will continue to be our webmaster.

j.         JDC Steering Committee:   No meeting.

k.       MABAS:  Chris Dallas spoke on what a strike team is and what is required to respond.  A strike team is actually any 5 resources working together.  There was actually such a call on the night prior.  The ambulances met at a designated spot and went to Green Bay together.  You should be given information on where to go and what radio frequency to use.  There is a 90 minute response for the team and you can be deployed for 6-9 hours.  Another reminder to use IFERN for MABAS box alarms.  Manitowoc County is the first out for many Brown County Cards.  More drills are coming.

l.         EMS Day 2018:  The date is Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Copps in Manitowoc.  Please plan on attending.

m.     RTAC:  Theresa gave some updates including many legislative updates including 911 dispatch CPR, Bill 97, Stop the bleed, and license renewals for 3 years.  There is a falls program being revised again.
