Manitowoc County EMS Association Meeting Minutes 5/23/12

The May 2012 meeting of the Manitowoc County EMS Association was called to order at 1900 by President Siehr. The educational speaker was Dr. Paul Hudson from Bellin Health. He spoke on a new surgical option for people with aortic valve disease or stenosis. Time 1900-2000
The meeting was resumed. Roll call was taken. A quorum was present. The secretary’s report was distributed and copies given. A motion was made to accept the secretary’s report was made by Newton and seconded by St. Nazianz.
The treasurer’s report was given and ending balances were given as follows:
Checking: $619.13 New CD Balance: $5182.49
Savings: $958.48 Agencies with outstanding dues for 2011: Maribel
A motion was made by Manitowoc to accept the treasurer’s report as presented was made and Newton seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Old Business:
1. Contact numbers: Passed for updates.
2. Committee reports:
a. Radio: Per Chief Manis the project goes on according to schedule. Changes will start soon.
b. Medical Director: Dr. Nelson is setting up some QA now. We will work with everyone with this. We will also do our first responders QA as they do in Kiel and that was reviewed.
c. Protocols: Are at the state level and have been approved. Some minor wording changes needed.
d. Finance: Ongoing.
e. Disaster: Cleveland thanked everyone for participation. Much was again learned. The next drill may be a table top.
f. Education and training: Always available if needed by groups.
g. LTC: Ryan handed out the fall schedule. Also talked about transitional changes coming for national registry.
h. Dispatch: Thank you cookies for EMS week were shared. They also sent a thank you for the baskets.
i. Mutual Aid Agreements: ongoing
j. Website: Mark Knier will continue to be our webmaster.
New Business
A motion to adjourn was made by Two Rivers and St. Nazianz seconded. Meeting adjourned.
