Roll call was taken. A quorum was present.

The treasurer’s report was given and ending balances were given as follows:

Note: All 2009 dues have been collected. A motion to accept the treasurer’s report as presented was made by St. Nazianz and seconded by Kellnersville. Report accepted.

Old Business:

1. Website: Soon to be finalized. It is "manitowoccountyems.com" or "Manitowoccountyems.org". More help was imported to work on this.

2. Tax ID #: VP Knier will be helping the treasurer. Progress is slow.

3. Contact numbers: Again passed for updates.

4. Committee reports:

a. Dispatch: Connie answered questions from floor and she reports no major issues at this time. EMD committee still meets and will review calls as needed. Contacts include Mark Busse and Bill Manis.

b. Protocols: Ongoing---there will be a meeting 10/1/09 at AMC at 1300 for the paramedic services of Manitowoc County to update their protocols.

c. Finance: Nothing new.

d. Disaster: Detailing done on trailer.

e. Education and training: EMS Seminar 10-3-09 at Holiday Inn. It’s going to be great---try to have people attend. State options for EMT basic refresher also handed out.

f. Medical Director: Still working with EMD and also protocols.

g. Radio: More discussion of where we are with radios. Jeff Beyer reported that there should be no problems patching between the two proposed frequencies. Things are moving along and better communications should be happening now.

5. Common Terminology: ongoing—Siehr to work on.

6. Physician Advisory Updates: nothing. Watch for this to be on the new website.

7. Information Binders: Jay Steuer from Branch is the coordinator. This project is ongoing. More to come.

8. County Disaster ID’s: Everyone is encouraged to get their picture ID’s done.

9. EMS Banner: Done by Chief Manis. To bring along for the conference.

New Business

EMS Issues: Deputy Chief Todd Blaser brought up two issues: sponsorship for job protection for EMS providers who are late to work because of an EMS call. If you support this………let your legislator know ASAP. Also, the state is discussing changing the license plates back to the old way. Todd also reports that they are working on the fees for impersonating a fire or EMS person.

Nominations: The offices of secretary and vice president are open for nominations. Nominations from the floor include Deb Holschbach who was nominated by St. Nazianz with a second from Two Rivers. Deb did accept the nomination and there is definitely room for more candidates. Todd Blaser from Manitowoc was nominated for the office of VP by Manitowoc and seconded by St. Nazianz. Todd is tentatively accepting the nomination and will confirm or decline at the next meeting. Kevin Siehr was nominated by Newton and seconded by Manitowoc and did accept the nomination for VP. Again, there is room for more candidates and the nominations will remain open for both positions.

Next meeting: Discussion on the date for the next meeting and a decision was made by Mishicot to have the meeting on 11-18-09 instead of 11-25-09 because of Thanksgiving. As Mishicot is the next host, there was no disagreement to this discussion.

Next Meeting: November 18 in Mishicot.
